This Privacy Policy applies to the SteadyStake mobile application (the “Application”) and the SteadyStake website at steadystake.app (the “Website”), both operated by Yi Hung Chien (“Service Provider”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By using the Application or Website, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account or use the Application, we may collect:
- First name and last name
- Email address (for registered accounts)
- Investment records — manually entered data including stock tickers, number of shares, price per share, purchase amount, brokerage fees, and DCA schedule configuration
- Preference settings — preferred currency (AUD, USD, SGD, TWD), preferred language (English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese), and notification preferences
When you sign up for our waitlist via the Website, we collect:
- Email address — used to notify you when the Application becomes available and to send relevant product updates
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Application, we may automatically collect:
- Device information — device type, operating system version
- Push notification token — a device-specific token used to deliver push notifications
- Usage data — interaction patterns within the Application, time spent, features used
- IP address — collected via our backend infrastructure
1.3 Anonymous Accounts
The Application supports use without a registered account (anonymous mode). Data created under an anonymous account is stored in our systems but is not linked to an email address or verified identity. Anonymous account data is not transferred if you uninstall and reinstall the Application. Data from anonymous accounts that have been inactive for an extended period may be deleted at our discretion.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Application and Website
- Deliver push notifications for DCA reminders and system updates
- Display your investment records, portfolio statistics, and market data within the Application
- Respond to your support requests
- Contact you with important notices or product updates (including waitlist notifications)
- Monitor and analyse usage patterns to improve user experience
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
3. Market Data and Financial Information Disclaimer
The Application displays market prices for stocks, ETFs, foreign exchange rates, and cryptocurrency. This data is provided for informational and tracking purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, or trading advice.
- Stock and ETF prices are updated once per day. Prices shown in the Application are end-of-day values and may not reflect current market conditions.
- Foreign exchange rates are updated once per day.
- Cryptocurrency prices are fetched on demand and may be subject to delays or temporary unavailability.
All market data is sourced from third-party providers (see Section 5). The Service Provider does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any market data displayed. You should not rely solely on data displayed in this Application to make investment decisions.
4. Data Retention
- Registered account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time directly within the Application. Upon deletion, all associated data — including your profile, investment records, reminders, and purchase history — is permanently removed from our systems.
- Anonymous account data is retained until deleted at our discretion for inactive accounts.
- Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion by contacting us at team@steadystake.app.

- In the event of a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case your data would remain subject to this Privacy Policy
7. Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at team@steadystake.app and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction: You may update your profile information within the Application at any time.
- Account deletion: You may delete your account directly within the Application. This will permanently remove all your data from our systems.
- Push notifications: You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or within the Application's notification preferences.
- Waitlist opt-out: You may request removal from our waitlist at any time by contacting us at team@steadystake.app.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Application or Website after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
